1. Gary Ridgway: Known as the "Green River Killer," Ridgway was convicted of 49 murders but has confessed to killing 71 women in Washington State during the 1980s and 1990s. He is serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole.
2. Dennis Rader: Known as the "BTK Killer" (Bind, Torture, Kill), Rader committed 10 murders between 1974 and 1991 in Kansas. He is serving 10 consecutive life terms.
3. David Berkowitz: Known as the "Son of Sam," Berkowitz killed six people and wounded several others in New York City during the late 1970s. He is serving multiple life sentences.
4. Randall Woodfield: Often referred to as the "I-5 Killer" due to his crimes being committed near the Interstate 5 corridor in the Pacific Northwest, Woodfield has been linked to more than a dozen murders and numerous sexual assaults in the late 1970s and early 1980s. He's serving a life sentence in Oregon.
5. Joseph James DeAngelo: Known as the "Golden State Killer," DeAngelo committed at least 13 murders, over 50 sexual assaults, and over 100 burglaries in California from 1974 to 1986. He was arrested in 2018 and sentenced in 2020 to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
